On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2018, we get the opportunity to visit historic locations and buildings across Northern Ireland. Many of these places will have been important to your ancestors - they may have lived, worked or worshipped there, been educated or incarcerated there or helped to build some of them.

Over 360 heritage buildings and events are opening over the weekend FREE OF CHARGE, but some locations need to be booked in advance.

For those folks who have signed up for the Genealogy: Researching Your Family History course starting in September 2018, you might be interested in a visit to the Public Records Office Northern Ireland (PRONI) which holds many wonderful documents of use to the family historian and that are not available online. PRONI will be open on Sat 8th September from 10.00 - 16.00 and will be running tours half-hourly between 10.00 and 15.30.

For more information about the events and properties included this year, please see the website at https://discovernorthernireland.com/ehod/
