NEW - Walking tours of Ballymena

Updated: Apr 7, 2019

I'm delighted to announce a series of dates for walking tours of Ballymena. These are being delivered in addition to the bespoke ancestral tours that can be booked for those who are returning to Ireland and would like to walk in the footsteps of their ancestors.

The walking tours will last for 2 hours and are running once per month between April - September. However, if you would like a private tour or to arrange a day out for a group, then please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

If you're in the area, Ballymena is well worth a visit with plenty to see and do and it has a number of good cafes and restaurants serving fresh, local produce. It's just 15 miles from the Causeway Coastal Route, close to many of the iconic Game of Thrones filming locations and to Slemish mountain where Saint Patrick tended sheep when he was a slave.

On the tour, you'll hear about the Seven Towers of Ballymena, tales of feudal lordships, deals with the devil, the headless horseman, ancient monastic settlements and the 1798 Rebellion, along with the more recent history of this busy market town and popular shopping destination.

The 2-hour walking tour is delivered to you by a qualified and fully insured tour guide and it costs only £10 per person. Why not book a tour today?
